Bapco hosts a delegation from the Bahrain Society in London

The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) hosted a delegation from the Bahrain Society in London as part of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 25 April to 1 May 2023.

The Bahrain Society in London is a gathering of all British people who spent periods of their childhood or their working lives in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the previous years, and many of them experienced different stages of the development of Bapco.

The tour programme on Saturday 29 April 2023, included a visit to Our Lady of the Arabs Cathedral to see its distinctive engineering design and the various sections it contains, followed by a tour to the Awali area, which was established in the wake of the discovery of oil in Bahrain in the thirties of the last century to provide housing and entertainment for the expatriate workers of the company. A documentary about the history of the Bahrain Petroleum Company since its inception and the stages of development that the company and the city of Awali have gone through over the years was reviewed.

The visiting delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation to Bapco for the warm reception and hospitality, as they expressed their great impact on what they saw, reviewing their memories of their stay in Bahrain and Awali.
