Bapco Refining Achieves Historic Record of 125 Million Safe Work Hours with Zero Lost-Time Injuries

Bapco Refining, a subsidiary of Bapco Energies the integrated energy company leading the energy transition in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has reached a remarkable safety milestone by completing 125 million work hours without a single lost-time injury involving the company’s employees and the contractors working on Bapco Modernization Programme (BMP). This unprecedented achievement is a global best practice in the oil and energy sector.

In light of this remarkable achievement, Mr. Abdulla Jehad Al Zain, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Refining, expressed immense pride in this momentous accomplishment. He emphasised that this success is a direct result of the unwavering commitment and diligence presented by the company's professional workforce and contractors at every stage of their operations. To build on this achievement, Mr. Al Zain confirmed that the Board has directed the company's executive management to intensify safety training and awareness initiatives, promoting the adoption of safe behaviors not only in the workplace but also in employees' homes and communities. The ultimate goal, he reiterated, is to ensure the well-being and safe return of all Bapco Refining employees to their families after each working day.
