Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs opens Ma'ameer Garden

Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry Undersecretary, and Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, the Chief Executive Officer of Bapco Refining opened Ma'ameer Garden.

The opening was attended by Shaikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) Secretary-General; Saleh Taher Tarada, the Capital Municipal Council President; Mohammed Saad Al Sahli, the Capital Municipality Director General.

Shaikh Mohammed said the 2,200-square meter Ma'ameer Park was a product of cooperation with Bapco Refining. He commended the role of the private sector in supporting projects that serve the community.

The undersecretary said the ministry is working on a strategy to implement projects that contribute to optimising sustainable urban development, increasing green spaces, developing infrastructure, and offering quality municipality services.

On his part, Al Sahli said that the development work in the garden included maintenance, rebuilding walls, and installing chairs and new games. He added that the garden also includes a basketball and a volleyball pitch.
