Environment
The facilities and units that make up the Bapco Modernization Programme (BMP) have been designed from the outset to be in full compliance with Bahraini legislation, and in line with the international IFC requirements and Equator Principle guidelines. As such, it is our vision and mission to ensure that the facility is beneficial to the Kingdom of Bahrain for generations to come.

THE STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES :
BMP has installed Emission Monitoring System (EMS) on all air point-source emissions which are interfaced and shared with Supreme Council for Environment:
- Predictive Emission Monitoring System (PEMS): will provide predicted emissions using accurate, precise and reliable measurements from different sources on a one-minute frequency based on mathematical models.
- Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) will be used to measure emissions on a continuous basis.
50+ To ensure that the BMP is conducted in environmentally sound manner, Bapco Refining has commissioned more than 50 Environmental & Social studies and management plans, and has planted several hundred mangrove seedlings and trees in key areas.
