CORE BUSINESS
Bapco Refining's main activities include refining, storage and marketing. They form the heart of the company’s operations, and have enabled the company to meet requirements of customers from around the world. Bapco Refining is known for its state-of-the-art production processes and for some of the highest quality products and services that have been exported across the Middle East, India, the Far East, South East Asia and Africa.
REFINING
Bapco Refining refines over 267,000 barrels of crude daily, over one-sixth of which originates from the Bahrain Field while the remainder is pumped from Saudi Arabia through pipelines extending 42 km onshore in Saudi Arabia, 28 km onshore in Bahrain and 42 km running offshore.
STORAGE
Bapco Refining has storage capacity of over 14 million barrels, and this is made possible through more than 170 storage tanks located at different sites across Bahrain.
MARKETING
Bapco Refining supplies petroleum products locally and internationally, and also exports crude on behalf of the Government of Bahrain to customers in diverse markets around the globe. Bapco Refining also supplies aviation fuel through the Bapco Air Fuelling Company (BAFCO) to airplanes that land at the Bahrain International Airport.
